All rental properties are required to be registered as such with the Housing Inspection office. Registration is completion and submission of a form to our office. Composted yard wastes are considered an item of value and are regulated by Section 8.577 of Chapter 140 of the City Code. Any other organic wastes are considered to be garbage and must be removed from a property at least every seven days as required by Section 9.107 of Chapter 151 and Section 2.7 of Chapter 25 of the City Code.
