Projects involving commercial or industrial uses, or residential buildings with more than 3 units, are covered by the commercial building process. These permits include new construction, encroachment, and our Land Use Development Services (LUDS) program.

Large events on private property require a Temporary Use Permit. Be sure to submit your application at least 10 days in advance.

Mobile food trucks, trailers, and concessions need various permits, depending on whether you'll be operating on public or private property. Mobile food operations also need to be licensed through the City.

Whether you're interested in installing a new sign, refacing an existing sign, or setting up a temporary sign, you'll need to apply for a permit by identifying its design and location.

Applications related to the Planning Commission, Board of Zoning Appeals, or Historic Preservation Commission include Special Land Use approval, variances, and Certificates of Appropriateness for Historic Districts.
